Is this true?. I have only travelled on trains in Italy but the fares were considerable cheaper, the system was extensive and they all seemed well staffed, poor statistics I know but an indication that there must be a fairly high level of investment.CJNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10264518643666385156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6471329571766916686.post-32539942398453272602012-03-10T14:35:47.453+00:002012-03-10T14:35:47.453+00:00Myth busting at it best!Myth busting at it best!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17339204068361731316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6471329571766916686.post-21758285284178047602011-03-23T12:49:03.123+00:002011-03-23T12:49:03.123+00:00Great post. Norris's assertion is pretty weak given that even Mrs T had, after reducing funding, recognized the progress that the railways had made, and was not keen on privatization. I'm not opposed to privatisation per se, but I would love to ask Norris why he thinks increasing transaction costs in an industry before taxing it on a steep escalator is a good way to run it.K D Tennenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09233962626984386906noreply@blogger.com
